Divisions of Play

League age is determined by the players age as of April 30th of the current spring season.  Although spring play begins in January, a players age for that season is determined as the age they will be on April 30th of that season.

 

 

Big League  -  Big League is for players league age 17 and 18.  This is a competitive division where standings are kept.  Play is on a “big diamond” (90 ft base paths and 60 ft pitchers mound).  Games are 7 innings in length and placement on teams is by league age not by draft.  No tryouts for this division.

 

 

Senior Division  -  Senior division is for players league age 15 and 16.  This is a competitive division where standings are kept. Play is on a “big diamond” (90 ft base paths and 60 ft pitchers mound).  Games are 7 innings in length and placement on teams is by league age not by draft.  No tryouts for this division.

 

 

Junior Division  -  Junior division is for players league age 13 and 14.  This is a competitive division where standings are kept.  Play is on a “big diamond” (80 ft base paths and 54 ft pitchers mound) until spring break and 90 ft / 60 ft thereafter.  Games are 7 innings in length and placement on teams is by draft.  The player must attend a tryout.  Division plays in the district 68 tournament of champions (TOC) and All Stars.

 

 

Major Division  -   Major division is primarily for players league age 11 and 12.  A few league age 10 year olds may play in this division if space is available.  This is a competitive division where standings are kept.  Play is on a little league size field (60 ft base paths and 46 ft mound).  Games are 6 innings in length and placement on teams is by draft.  The player must attend a tryout.  Two teams from this division attend the district 68 tournament of champions (TOC), the winner of the league play and the winner of the season ending tournament.  Commitment is usually 2 games per week and 2 practices per week.

 

 

 

AAA Division  -  AAA division is primarily for players league age 10 and 11.  A few league age 9 year olds may play in this division if space is available.  This is a competitive division where standings are kept.  Play is on a little league size field (60 ft base paths and 46 ft mound).  Games are 6 innings in length and placement on teams is by draft.  The player must attend a tryout.   Two teams from this division attend the district 68 tournament of champions (TOC), the winner of the league play and the winner of the season ending tournament.  Commitment is usually 2 games per week and 2 practices per week.

 

 

 

AA Division  -  AA division is primarily for players league age 9 and 10.  A few league age 8 year olds may “play up” in this division if space is available.   This is a competitive division where standing are kept but it is still considered instructional.  Play is on a little league size field (60 ft base paths and 46 ft mound).  Games are 6 innings in length and placement on teams is by draft.  The player must attend a tryout.  There is no district 68 tournament of champions (TOC) for this division but a season ending league tournament is played.  Commitment is usually 2 games per week and 2 practices per week.

 

 

 

Single A  -  Single A division is for players league age 7 and 8.  Seven year old participation in this division is dependent on previous play in Little League Minor A division.  This is a non-competitive division where standings and scores are not kept.   This is an instructional league.  Play is on a little league size field (60 ft base paths with a machine pitched ball ( 33 - 35 mph) at the 46 ft mound).  Games are 6 innings in length.  Placement is strictly by league age and previous experience.  No tryouts are held.  Commitment is usually 2 games per week and 1 practice.

 

 

 

Minor A  -  Minor A division is for players league age 6 and 7.  Six year old participation in this division is dependent on previous play in Little League T-ball division.  This is a non-competitive division where standings and scores are not kept.  This is an instructional league.  Play is on a little league field (60ft base paths with a manual machine placed in front of the mound).  Games are 4 innings in length.  Placement is strictly by league age and previous experience.  No tryouts are held.  Commitment is usually 2 games per week or 1 game per week and 1 practice.

 

 

 

T-ball  -  T-ball division is for players league age 5 and 6.  League age 6 players that have not played in Little League must start in this division.  This is a non-competitive division where standings and scores are not kept.  This is an instructional league.  Play is on a mini league field (50 ft base paths and hitting is done off a tee for the first half of the season, second half is coach pitched).  Games are 3 innings in length.  Placement is strictly by league age.  No tryouts are held.  Commitment is usually 2 games per week or 1 game per week and 1 practice.
